History of the Hospital

1913 Keizo Hara, MD, and his wife, Haruko Hara opened their clinic in Yojo-machi, Utsunomiya
1933 Moved to the present location.
1951 Founded the medical foundation, Keimeikai Hara Eye Hospital
1972 New clinical building was completed
1984 Facility renovated and enlarged
1993 Facility again enlarged
1997 Partially renovated, introduced standard inpatient care, and separate dispensary system
2004 Accredited by Japan Council for Quality Health Care
